Got an e-mail from Stan, Kim, Ticho and Lena Derkx of Berg en Terblijt, the Netherlands on Monday, the 18th. It was about their adoption of the grave in Henri-Chapelle US Cemetery in Belgium, where PFC Glenn Williams, of the 117th Infantry Regiment, 30th Division, USA, was killed on September 19, 1944 while helping to liberate their town, is buried.

On Thursday, the 21st, I found the article of October 11, 1944 in the Twin City Sentinel announcing Glenn’s death. It included a picture of Glenn. I e-mailed the scanned images to the Derkx that afternoon.
