The Mount Airy Museum of Regional History and The Surry County Genealogical Association will sponsor a FREE Family History and Genealogy Swap Meet on Saturday January 30, 2016, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm on the 3rd floor of The Museum at 301 North Main Street, Mount Airy, North Carolina, 27030, Telephone 336.786.4478.

Anyone who has ever been in a Beginners Genealogy Class sponsored by the Museum and taught by Esther Johnson is asked to attend the event as a special guest.

Attendees are invited to bring genealogies and displays, so everyone can make connections and find new family information. Even those who have never done genealogical research are invited to come and see if someone else has researched their ancestors. Volunteers will be available to help participants look up their families Ancestry.com. There will be a copy machine, so it will be possible to make copies (for a small fee) of information. Participants are invited to bring their laptops.

We hope the Swap will be fun for everyone, and will draw people in to the next Beginners Genealogy Classes, which will start in February 2016. Watch for more information. You can also call Esther Johnson at 336-831-6437 or email her at EPDJ1@triad.rr.com.

The Forsyth County Genealogical Society will have a table set up at this event
