The first known color photographs of the Salem College campus appeared ninety years ago in the 1929 yearbook, “Sights & Insights”. No credits are given for the photographer, who was probably a Salem student. Certainly, they are some of the earliest color photographs taken in Winston-Salem. The quality of the images could be improved a bit by using modern artificial intelligence filtering, but I have reproduced them here exactly as scanned from the yearbook by DigitalNC. To see them at full size, in Windows, right click on the image and select “view image”; on a Mac, control click and select “view image”.
