Our collection contains over 3000 volumes of abstracted records and family histories. We have census records for Virginia and North and South Carolina from 1790-1930, North Carolina county records from 1740-1868, historical newspapers and more on microfilm. The Library also subscribes to genealogical online resources such as Heritage Quest and Ancestry Library Edition, which include U.S. Census, military, land, vital, and immigration records. Many excellent genealogical resources are now found online, as explored on our Online Resources page.
